Who we are
urltopdf.org is a free web utility that converts public webpage URLs into downloadable PDF files. The service is operated as part of the filetourl.org family of tools.
What data we collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service:
- IP address — used solely to enforce the free tier rate limit of 3 conversions per day. It is not stored beyond the current session and is not linked to any personal profile.
- The URL you submit — passed to our rendering service to generate your PDF. It is not logged or stored after the conversion is complete.
- Account email (Pro only) — if you create a Pro account, we store your email address to identify your subscription and grant unlimited access. We do not use it for marketing.
How we use your data
Your IP address is used only to count conversions for rate limiting purposes. Your submitted URL is used only to generate the PDF you requested. Neither is used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
Third party services
We use Browserless.io to render webpages and generate PDFs. When you submit a URL, it is passed to Browserless.io's servers for processing.
We use Supabase to host our backend infrastructure. Supabase complies with GDPR and stores data in EU regions.
We use Stripe to process Pro subscription payments. We never see or store your card details.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary to operate the rate limiting system and keep you signed in when you have a Pro account. These cookies do not track you across websites and contain no personal information. No consent is required for essential cookies under UK PECR rules.
Data retention
IP-based rate limit counters reset daily. Submitted URLs are not stored — they are passed directly to the rendering service and discarded. Pro account data is retained while your account exists and deleted on request.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
